Sales Policy
Reservations
We are happy to make a list of interested parties for a specific breeding, and will notify that party if a kid of their interest is available, but to guarantee first choice on that breeding, we require a $50.00 deposit on the requested kid before birth. No deposits will be refunded unless the doe of your choice fails to have the kid you have reserved. In the case of the doe not having the kid of your choice, the deposit can either be refunded, transferred to another doe, or rolled into the next kidding season. Half of the purchase price is due within two weeks of birth, the other half minus the deposit is due before the kid leaves. Kids must leave by 8 weeks of age unless special arrangements are made. After 8 weeks, we will charge a board fee of $2.00 a day. Though, we make every attempt to avoid retaining a reserved kid, we do reserve the right to retain any kids once they are born. Because of this, some kids will become available if we decide not to retain one that we previously were going to retain. Pricing on reserved kids will be locked at the time of reservation. After birth, we reserve the right to change pricing as we see fit.
Purchasing Existing Does or Bucks
We require half down for milkers or any animal other than expected kids. This deposit is not refundable, unless we opt out of the sale for some reason or another. The remainder minus the deposit of the purchase price is due within 15 days of the sale. If the remainder is not paid, the deposit will not be refunded and the animal will be sold to another buyer. Animals will be required to be picked up or transported within 30 days of purchase. Other arrangements can be made if we are notified, but a $2.50/day boarding fee will be applied and we will not refund money on any animal that may expire due to unforeseen illnesses that were not found to be present before the time of purchase. We are happy to get a vets health inspection at the time of sale to verify a healthy animal upon request. All animals will be routinely wormed and vaccinated while in our care at the expense of the buyer.
Transporting Animals
When purchasing animals, please remember that process of traveling and leaving their known home is stressful. We will make you aware of any needed supplies for a successful transfer before hand. Before shipping,we require the animal is strong and in good condition to make sure the trip is not too stressful for them to make. All kids will be dis-budded, vaccinated, and wormed as recommended for their age before transport. Registration is also part of the purchase price and will be done before transport. In the case of kids, the buyer will be allowed to name them unless it has already been named.
Transportation of the animal is the buyers responsibility. We would be happy to help make arrangements, but all costs and decisions will be made by the buyer. We are willing to deliver the animal within a 200 mile radius, providing the buyer compensates us for gas and mileage at a rate of $0.28/mile. The buyer is also responsible for the air fare. We also travel to several shows and meetings throughout the year, and will be willing to transport any animal along these routes for free.
Health Testing & CVI
Current CAE, Johnes, and CL test results are available on request. We are happy to do any additional testing needed for transport or at the buyers request at the expense of the buyer. We will arrange for CVI for transport of animals as needed, at the buyers expense.
